      School-wide Grading Scale:

All teachers will utilize the following school wide grading scale for assignments, projects, tests, and final grades.  Individual teachers may weight grading categories differently.

  3.  School-wide Make-up Work Policy:

1.  If a student is absent, it is his or her responsibility to find out the work that was missed.

2.  For each day that a student is absent, the same number of days will be given to catch up on missed assignments, make up an exam, or meet assignment deadlines.

3.  Students who sluff will receive a “0” on all assignments, quizzes, and/or tests that are missed as a result of their sluff.

4. Additional grading policies

1. Assignments are due at the beginning of the period.

2. Students who are caught cheating will receive a zero.

3. Students are expected to actively participate in class. A reduction of participation points may result from having a bad attitude, arguing, yelling across the classroom, talking without permission, being disrespectful, not sitting in assigned seat, not working, not being on task, chewing gum, having food in class, and not prepared with supplies.

5. Late Work Policy:

1. Students will be issued 3 class passes every quarter that can be used as a hall pass or late assignment pass.  Each pass may be used to receive earned credit within 5 school days. The only exception to this policy would be with a quarter project.

2. All other late work will receive half of your earned credit.

3. There will be two cut-off dates for turning in late work. Each quarter, the first deadline will be the Friday of midterms and the second will be the last day of the quarter as defined by the teacher.

 6. Miscellaneous items:

1. Come prepared every day with a writing utensil and paper.

2. I am available for tutoring Wednesday mornings from 7:00-7:40 by appointment

3. Students may earn extra credit each quarter by watching a movie or reading a book from the approved list.
